The Quebec Employers Council (CPQ) recently joined a major class action brought against the federal government, alongside 36 Quebec businesses And of temporary foreign workers. The action aims to claim 400 million dollars in compensation for the impacts caused by successive and unpredictable changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP).

According to the president and CEO of the CPQ, Michelle Llambías Meunier, businesses needrules that are predictable, consistent and adapted to the realities of the Quebec job market. Without this stability, the entire economy suffers the consequences.
With this recourse, the CPQ wishes to have it recognized the very real financial and operational impacts federal decisions on employers and workers. The objective is clear: to remind us that workforce management must be done with vision, consistency and respect for the field.
